Our school council is made up of a group of 16 pupils from P4 - P7.  These pupils are voted onto the school council by their classmates, some classes and pupils even running their own election campaigns!

Throughout the year they meet with Mr Adams to discuss and share ideas in an attempt to make our school even better!

They also take on several projects over the year which include:

  • Promotion of P.T.A events (Movie Night, Halloween Disco, Boys' and Girls' Night and the Summer Fair)
  • Promotion of our special weeks in school such as Friendship Week, Healthy Eating Week and Internet Safety Week,
  • Helping with fundraising events in school such as Children in Need, the Poppy Appeal and Red Nose Day!
  • Supporting pupil relationships in school through Peer Mediation, promotion of our Piggy Points Scheme and helping in the playground.

They often led assemblies and share updates with their own class.

In addition to the annual projects mentioned above, the School Council also choose one more initiative to focus on.  In the past, we have promoted Road Safety, Playground Games, Safe Cycling and Stranger Danger.

The School Council work so hard all year and thoroughly enjoy making a positive difference to our school.
