Eco Schools

Our Eco-team is hard at work, proudly continuing in the footsteps of previous teams. With great dedication, they help keep our school grounds tidy, feed local birdlife, plant flowers and vegetables, sell home-grown produce, hold engaging assemblies, and promote a wide range of exciting new eco-initiatives throughout the year.

As environmental ambassadors for the school, the team works collaboratively to raise awareness of important issues like recycling, reducing waste, saving energy, and protecting our local wildlife. They take pride in leading by example and inspiring others to get involved.

You can find out more about our goals and projects in the Eco Action Plan attached below. We also invite you to explore our Environmental Review, which highlights the progress we’ve made and the areas we’re continuing to improve.

To keep up to date with our latest events, green achievements, and how you can support our work, be sure to follow us on Facebook and check out our monthly newsletter.

Together, we can make a difference.

Eco Super Saturday Success!

A huge thank you to Mrs Hutton and to all the amazing children, parents and staff who came along to help at our Eco Super Saturday. Once again, our school community pulled together to make the school grounds look fantastic!

From painting, cleaning, varnishing and litter picking to window washing, building new outdoor games, and general upkeep — everyone played their part.

We are so proud and grateful to have such a dedicated team here at Londonderry Primary School.

Together we make a difference!
